Researchers, scientists and clinicians are invited to submit abstracts for inclusion in the scientific program of the XXIV World Congress of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging.
In order to ensure a consistent layout for publishing of your abstract, we have provided below instructions of a properly formatted abstract.  All accepted abstracts accompanied only with a proper registration will be published in the XXIV World Congress of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging book of abstracts.

Abstracts will be classified under specific categories for review and program purposes. Presenters are requested to select the topic under which their abstracts belong:

All abstracts must be submitted in English and send to the following e-mail address:echocongress2018@gmail.com
NOTE: The meeting organizers will not accept responsibility for any abstracts that have not been properly submitted according to the instructions.

Corresponding authors must provide the organizers with their full mailing address, fax number and email address.
Author and co-author information must be provided including the first and last names of all authors, their department, institution/hospital, city, state if applicable and country.
Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s). All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to determine whether a submission is accepted as a free paper or a poster and its decision is final. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for grammar and clarity.
The abstract may be scheduled for presentation on any day from 17 May to 20 May 2017.

The title must be brief, concise, and in CAPITAL LETTERS.
Abstract title limit: 20 words.
Authors: Please enter your name and your colleagues’ names as you wish them to appear in the Final Program.
The abstract text should have a maximum of 250 words.
The Scientific Committee reserves the rights to redact any submission.
A maximum of 2 tables can be submitted and each table should only have a maximum of 5 columns and 10 rows. All figures/ tables/ graphs included in the abstract must be submitted in JPG/ BMP/GIF format with a maximum width of 9cm, and resolution up to 150 dpi. Only TWO figures/ tables/ graphs are allowed for each abstract.
A maximum of 2 figures can be submitted and should be in jpg/ bmp / gif formats with a maximum of 350 pixels and 200 KB
Please note that these figures/ tables/ graphs may be resized to fit the final printed material.
Do not include references in the abstract.
Do not include keywords in the abstract.
Abbreviations should be spelled out, in parenthesis, in its first use in the abstract.

A Presenting Author whose abstract has been accepted for either oral or poster presentation is required to register and pay the conference registration fee by 15 April 2018, attend the meeting, and deliver a presentation of the abstract.

The ideal platform to meet presenters, colleagues & peers in front of their research and discuss their findings. Presenters will discuss the content of their poster in front of chairperson and an appreciative audience during the coffee break. The duration of the presentation must be as follows: 3 minutes presentation and 2 minutes discussion. All the participants who will take part in the Moderate poster session have to be in front of their posters, located in Flamingo Grand Hotel, at least 5 minutes before the start of the session.

Display boards for poster exhibition will be provided on-site. The usable surface for one poster panel is 180 cm. (Height) X 90 cm. (Width). Please prepare your poster in PORTRAIT layout to fit within the usable surface of the panel. You are required to develop, print, and bring along the poster to the venue for mounting onto the poster board. For legibility, a minimum font size of 28 points and a maximum of 600 words on each poster are recommended. Double-sided tape will be provided to mount your poster.

The Scientific Committee invites original interesting cases for presentation during this prestigious World Congress on the below given Themes/Sub themes.

For Paper presenters, this would be a rare opportunity to meet and present their research/study before globally acclaimed international and national faculty with immense academic and financial incentives


Key information: 
1. Presenters are entitled to reduced registration fee /early bird registration fee/
2. All Presenters must pre-register for the Congress
3. Abstract of your presentation must be submitted before April 01, 2018.
4. Selected presenters will be intimated by May 1, 2018
5. Presented papers will be published in XXIV World Congress of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging book of abstracts uploaded on a memory stick

Case presentation format:
 - CD format with selected sequences for presentation in AVI format only.
 - There should not be more than 8 sequences, if possible during case presentation.
 - A short case summary with salient features in clinical history and relevant ECG, X-ray etc should be included.
 - A take home message from the case, including technical tips, would be essential for acceptance of the presentation.
Criteria for Selection:
The scientific committee will score the presentation on the following criteria:

1.Teaching message
2. Any learning tip
3. Originality of the case
4. Rarity of the case
5. Any unanswered question of the presenter for judge’s interaction

Allocated oral presentation time is 5 (Five) minutes followed by 2 (Two) minutes for discussion.

Chairpersons should ensure the smooth progress of the session, time management and additionally encourage discussions and interactions between faculty members and the audience by allowing sufficient time for questions from the audience.

General Information:
  • Your assignments will be sent and confirmed by e-mail.
  • Timing allocated to your presentation is 20 minutes and includes 18 minutes presentation and 2 minutes for questions from chairpersons and the audience as we strongly encourage the interaction in our scientific sessions.
  • A continuous timer will be running and a warning sound will be heard 1 minute prior to the end of the allotted time for presentation.
  • Your Declaration of interest must be inserted to your own slide before you upload your presentation.
  • Speakers are required to prepare a presentation to be displayed in the lecture room - See below the instructions to assist you in your preparation.
We recommend that you upload your presentation(s) in advance. Speakers are kindly requested to upload their presentations a day in advance or at least three hours before its start to the technical staff in the lecture rooms.
Speaker Center is also available if you need to work on your presentation before uploading.

  • Personal laptop computers can't be connected to the projectors in lecture rooms.
  • Presentations can't be loaded directly on the computer in the lecture rooms.
